2020, wrapped

The mission of Kitchen Stories is clear: We want to encourage everyone to cook fresh food every day. And with the help of Proven recipes, intuitive technology and an active community. Because we believe that cooking is an integral part of our lives. This mission gave rise to the globally successful cooking platform that we are today.

Year after year, we produce content and recipes that should help users overcome hurdles in an ever faster moving world: No time, no inspiration, no experience. We want to remove all these hurdles for our community by creating a unique experience with the help of the three pillars mentioned above.

What did it look like in 2020? We'll give you an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes...

In 2020, we have just under 500 new photo and video recipes developed, produced and brought to the platform.

We were also able to more than 20 new “How To” videos Make your life a bit easier again between chipping, blanching and filleting.

We always talk about our active community. Do you know how active she really is? In 2020, our users more than 4000 recipes uploaded to our platform.

Storytelling is our passion — and telling stories sets us apart from other cooking platforms. More than 170 articles We wrote it last year. And believe us, there was a lot involved:

From home mixing in times of corona, to the favorite dishes from our childhood, snacks from all over the world, our in-season items, and so on to meal plans for stressful weeks.

And our Performance stars among the recipes?
Die potato soup with Viennese sausages, the Turkey cream sliced with bell pepper and rice and the Winter pasta with roasted cauliflower.

In Germany, we love numbers. And rankings. So we were not surprised that The most popular articles This year the following were:

1st place Our 25 most-cooked recipes this summer

2nd place 20 recipes for your lunch at home

3rd place Our top 60 dinners in 60 minutes and less

And last but not least, we were able to observe how the cooking index, our in-house KPI (“Key Performance Indicator”), developed during the lockdowns and how our platform grew and grew and grew across media. So that we can continue to inspire our community with our content in the coming years and attract many new Kitchen Stories fans. For 2021.
